Hello! I'm Darren (he/him), an Occupational Therapist with a specialisation in paediatrics and community health. Supporting children and families through life’s challenges and helping them achieve their goals is my passion. For the past three years, I’ve had the privilege of working in paediatrics, empowering some of the most vulnerable members of our community to unlock their full potential. I would be honoured to work with your family and be part of your journey.
Qualifications:
Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (Honours) - Monash University
Bachelor of Science (Physiology) - The University of Melbourne
Helping others discover their strengths and achieve their goals has always been my passion. From the moment I began my journey in occupational therapy, I knew my focus would be on children and families. Seeing the pride and joy on a child’s face when they master a new skill or overcome a challenge is what motivates me every day.
Every child is unique, and I believe in creating a tailored approach that aligns with their individual needs and aspirations. My sessions are designed to be fun, safe, and supportive, offering children the opportunity to thrive while learning essential skills for everyday life.
Family time: I come from a big family and grew up surrounded by the love and energy of 10 aunts and uncles! Family gatherings have always been a special part of my life.
Sports: Whether playing or watching, sports have always been a big passion of mine—especially cricket and AFL. Go Demons!
Exploring creativity: I enjoy integrating creative activities, like games and crafts, into therapy sessions.
Lifelong learning: I’m always expanding my knowledge through professional development and staying updated on the latest OT techniques.
